lyrics
It speaks to me
Words scattered like dead leaves
Weightless feathers carried by ephemeral days
Should I like a wolf
change my cloth
or come forth the same
bringing my offering...
I whisper to myself
Should I delude my kin or betray my spirit?
Oh, how I wish I did not know anything
A heinous act
if there ever was one
The trouble of being born sharpens my tool
If it mutilates me, what use would it have
to drink from the goblet of a life that is not sincere...
Still I dread the future and I tremble not knowing
if I could end this existence
for it would be too late
You pay upfront for whoring
How will you repay your maid...
A mother soaked in red
cleaning her son’s dread

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.

Absolutely classic-to-the-core, straight to the point in the vein of early 2000's Dark Funeral and Naglfar, with some Cruelty era CoF thrown in. Nostalgic as all fuck, and I love it. xaphanapraxia

Winter wind blasted atmospheric black metal from the desolate fields of Siberia. Crisp production and an excellent performance. Grima is a must check out for any black metal fan. 8/10 RJ
